Represent UTF-8 text in Base64 for text-based transport. Encode converts the text to bytes first, allowing multilingual input.
2. Prepare your input
Choose readable UTF-8 text to encode or Base64 text to decode. This text-only workflow does not accept binary files.
3. Follow a worked example
Hello becomes SGVsbG8=. Encoding and then decoding नमस्ते returns the same text.
4. Check the result
Compare the output with the example and original. Check punctuation, case, spacing, line order and identifiers where relevant. Use the available copy or download action and inspect the result in the receiving application. Retain the source until the change is verified.
5. Does Base64 protect private information?
No. Base64 is reversible encoding, not encryption. This tool decodes text; it is not a binary-file viewer. Invalid Base64 or invalid UTF-8 causes an error.
6. Recover from an error
Try the small example first. Read the error message and check syntax and the selected operation. If output differs from your intention, return to the original and change one setting at a time. Formatting and conversion do not validate the meaning of data.
Try the workflow
Start with a small example and check the result before using your own data.
