1. Choose this workflow

Inspect how many pages a PDF contains and the dimensions and rotation of each page. This is useful before selecting ranges or arranging mixed-size documents.

2. Prepare your input

Choose a PDF to inspect. Distinguish dimensions in points and physical page count from image resolution and printed page labels.

3. Follow a worked example

An A4 portrait page is approximately 595 × 842 points. Dimensions are displayed separately for every page.

4. Check the result

Download and open the saved copy in your usual viewer. Compare it with the example and original: check dimensions, order, orientation and legibility where applicable. Extract ZIP exports and inspect their members. Keep your original until the output is checked.

5. Are dimensions shown in pixels?

No. PDF page dimensions are points, with 72 points per inch. They do not identify the resolution of an embedded image or determine how readable a scan will be.

6. Recover from an error

Read the file-type, size and processing limits on the tool page. An extension alone does not prove a file is valid. Try a small supported file or re-export from the source app. Protected or corrupt documents may need an authorized replacement. A successful click alone does not prove the saved copy is usable.

Try the workflow

Start with a small example and check the result before using your own data.
