Estimate retirement savings, inflation-adjusted income needs and additional monthly saving. Use the units and options beside each field. Results update as inputs change; reset returns to example inputs.
Current age: minimum 18, maximum 90
Retirement age: minimum 18, maximum 100
Planning age at end of retirement: minimum 18, maximum 120
Current savings: minimum 0, maximum 1000000000000
Monthly saving: minimum 0, maximum 1000000000000
Annual retirement income (today’s money): minimum 0, maximum 1000000000000
Effective annual return (%): minimum 0, maximum 30
Annual inflation (%): minimum 0, maximum 202. Try a worked example
Age 30 to 31 at 0% with 1,000 initial and 100 saved monthly gives 2,200 at retirement, covering exactly one year of deposits.
3. Understand the calculation
Monthly return = (1 + annual return)^(1/12) − 1. Income is inflated to retirement; required savings use end-of-year withdrawals discounted by real return (1 + return)/(1 + inflation) − 1.
4. Read the assumptions
Month-end savings and end-of-year retirement withdrawals, constant return and inflation. Zero real return is supported. Pensions, taxes, fees and sequence-of-returns risk are excluded.
5. Check and compare results
Match entered values to their labels and units. Review output labels alongside the assumptions, then change one input at a time. A currency selector changes display labels without converting amounts. Use the available save or copy actions and retain the input values so the estimate can be reproduced.
6. Fix an invalid input
Complete required fields and respect the listed bounds. Check date order, age relationships and mode-specific requirements where relevant; the error message identifies invalid combinations. Reset to example inputs to recover. A valid calculation applies to its stated model and does not verify a real-world outcome.
Try the workflow
Start with a small example and check the result before using your own data.
