PDF to Markdown Draft
Convert simple selectable-text PDFs into an editable Markdown draft with inferred headings and lists.
1. Choose your PDF
Selectable text · single column · up to 20 MB and 20 pages
2. Create a Markdown draft
3. Review, edit & save
Your editable Markdown draft will appear here.
Practical example
A single-column PDF with a 24-point Project notes heading above 12-point body text becomes # Project notes followed by its text. Review font-based guesses before saving document.md.
Limits · supported files
Up to 20 MB, 20 pages, 20,000 text fragments per page and 500,000 extracted characters. Unrotated, left-to-right, single-column selectable text only. HTTP(S) annotation links on plain body lines only; no linked headings/lists or internal-page links. No OCR, tables, embedded images or reliable complex reading order. Large gaps are rejected as possible columns/tables; some unsupported layouts may escape detection. Font-based headings are optional heuristics. Page markers and separators are added. Inspect every page against the original.
