How the calculation works

For inches over 60: male Hamwi = (106 + 6 × inches) lb; Devine = 50 + 2.3 × inches kg; Robinson = 52 + 1.9 × inches kg; Miller = 56.2 + 1.41 × inches kg. Female coefficients differ.

Worked example

At 5 feet, male Hamwi is 106 lb = 48.08 kg, not 106 kg.
