When to use Rotate & Flip Image
Correct the orientation of a photograph or mirror a picture. Rotation uses clockwise quarter-turns; the image retains all source pixels without cropping.
Practical example
A 120 × 80 picture rotated 90° becomes 80 × 120 pixels. A horizontal mirror is applied before rotation when both settings are selected.
Will rotation change image quality?
The tool exports PNG and preserves the pixel layout for quarter-turn rotations. It does not preserve source metadata, and the file size can differ from the original JPEG.
